The news on Blanche representing Belgium came by surprise to fans as The Voice Belgique Twitter account, in which she took part during the latest season of the show, confirmed her and congratulated her on the news.
It is usual to see RTBF internally selecting when they are in charge of Eurovision in the country. They share the organisation on a “year on year off” basis with fellow broadcaster, VRT, who last year chose Laura Tesoro for Stockholm and surprised all the viewers by finishing 10th in the Grand Final. The last time that RTBF were in charge they of course chose Loïc Nottet, who was also from “The Voice Belgique” and came 2nd in the third season of the contest and got the first top 5 for the country in the Eurovision after 12 years.
What do you think about Blanche’s track? Do you think this will do better than Laura Tesoro or even further than Loïc? Share your thoughts on social media and stay tuned for more details regarding the Belgian presentation on Kiev’s stage next May 9th during the first semifinal!
