As it happened last year for their first time ever, we are very pleased to announce that Israel will be holding their Eurovision pre-party “Israel Calling” once again this year! Participants at Eurovision 2017 in Kiev from over 25 nations will gather and “Celebrate Diversity” together in Tel Aviv.
Apart from the concert at Tel Aviv’s “Theatre Club” on April 5th and such as the other Eurovision events prior to the contest itself in May, artists’ delegations alongside the press will be meeting for some promotional interviews and a press conference. Furthermore and as 2016 participants did, Eurovision 2017 singers will plant trees in the “Eurovision Song Contest forest” at the “President’s Forest” as part of the 115th anniversary of the Jewish National Fund. This all has been scheduled from the 3rd till the 6th of April.
The project made up by producer Tali Eshkoli, well known at the Israeli Eurovision bubble, is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage, The Jewish National Fund, Herzliya Municipality, “StandWithUs” organization and Tel Aviv Municipality – the host city.
Eshkoli stated the following: “We are delighted to realize that this huge amount of Eurovision artists confirmed their arrival to the event and we are excited to know that they are waiting for their upcoming visit to Israel. All of them are waiting for exposing themselves and their songs to the Israeli audience, local and international media. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the artists and journalists to come to Israel, enjoy from their stay and show the world its beautiful features, its landscapes, sites and people.”
The artists attending the appointment next month will not only get to visit Tel Aviv throughout the days but traveling to Israel’s capital city Jerusalem and Herzliya has also been considered.
Final line-up of delegations intended to travel to Israel will be announced gradually in short term, stay tuned for confirmations!
